About the Specialist Internet Portal for Ancient World Studies
This portal presents an overview of ancient world studies in Switzerland. It provides detailed information both on upcoming events and on training and research opportunities in the field of ancient world studies. Moreover, a collection of online resources offers further avenues into the realm of ancient world studies.
The Specialist Internet Portal is a project run by the following societies and commissions, which have joined forces in the Coordination Group of the Specialist Internet Portal for Ancient World Studies: Archäologie Schweiz (AS), committee Corpus Americanensium Antiquitatum, Inventar der Fundmünzen der Schweiz (IFS), committee Lateinische Wörterbücher, Schweizerische Gesellschaft für orientalische Altertumskunde (SGOA), Schweizerische Numismatische Gesellschaft (SNG), Schweizerische Vereinigung für Altertumswissenschaft (SVAW), Vereinigung der Freunde Antiker Kunst (VFAK). They are all members of the Swiss Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences (SAHS), which also funds the project.
